To set a link target with the CSE overlay, you need to alter the code
that Google provides in two ways. First, locate the line that reads in
part "new CSEOverlay(" and MODIFY so that it starts out like this
(leave the rest of the line intact):
var cseo = new CSEOverlay(
And second, ADD a line AFTER that complete call (Watch out! They tend
to spread the thing across three lines, one for each argument!):
cseo.searchControl.setLinkTarget(...); // Insert whatever you want to
use as the target in place of the ...
