Sorry Doug -- Unfortunately I haven't seen any code snippets to do what you're trying to do. You would have to get your hands dirty and learn/write some Javascript. You'd be editing the source code for the dynamic feed control. If you decide to do this I could point you in the code where things are written so you know what you might want to modify.
