I am experimenting with the Google News API/Widgets. For example (http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxsearch/documentation/newsshow/ wizard.html). This tool allows you to choose categories that pertain to the types of news you would like returned. If you run a search, through all categories, is it possible to see which categories a particular story is linked to? I'm trying to bring back business results for a particular company. When I choose the business category, there are several stories that do pertain to the company that are not returned. If I choose no categories in particular, I get relevant results. So I'd like to be able to examine the categories a story is tagged under so I can create the type of feed that is best likely to return the expected results. Any ideas?
