Outside of Google's security policies designed to prevent DDOS attacks, there is no limit on the number of queries you can run in a given timespan. However, there is a limit on the number of results you can get per query. Namely, at this time, you can retrieve no more than 64 results - across 8 sets of 8 results each - for any query. For LocalSearch queries, this is 32 results total, in four sets of 8. Also, you'll probably want to review the TOU, especially if you'll be making all your queries in an automated fashion.
