Hi Traxion, I just wanted to clarify on Jeremy's post. Regarding Option 2. You are, indeed, able to cache translations for up to 15 days. However, you are not allowed to re-translate your whole site automatically every 2 weeks. Instead, you can only initiate translations when an end user visits each of your pages. Therefore, you can take advantage of caching, but not to keep fully translated versions of your entire site around.
Given this restriction, you can still pursue either of the options that you mentioned, as laid out by Jeremy.
