Unfortunately, Google does not generally announce API features before  
they are released. They have, however, demonstrated a willingness to  
add user suggestions that prove popular on the issue tracker. My  
recommendation would be to add it to the tracker, which you can find  
at the link below:

http://code.google.com/p/google-ajax-apis/issues/list

That said, I would be surprised if Google actually implemented this  
feature for a couple of reasons. First, most of the reviews that they  
display on their site are found from different sources on the web;  
they would have to sign licensing agreements for all that content. And  
second, if they provided that information via the API, there would be  
little distinction between the applications which could be built with  
the API and their maps.google.com property; they would be directly  
cannibalizing their own traffic and, subsequently, ad revenues.
