This may be the wrong place to ask - if so, I apologize. I've upgraded to Vista using a 64-bit processor and then tried to reinstall REST::Google-1.0.7 (From CPAN) to do a google search. In the process of installation, I get the following error:
t/01_basic ... 1/3 HTTP request failed: 500 Can't connect to ajax.googleapis.com:80 (Bad hostname 'ajax.googleapis.com') at t/01.basic.t line 13 In Firefox, however, I can connect to ajax.googleapis.com, so it isn't my connection. (and all dependent modules installed successfully). Does anyone know - is this a Vista protection thing and, if so, does anyone know a solution?
