Hi, We're considering adding Google Translate support to an existing PC video game in the next update. Updates are released free of charge and available to anyone.
The Terms of Use state: > The implementation of the Service on your Property must be generally > accessible to users without charge and must not require a fee-based > subscription or other fee-based restricted access. It sounds pretty clear that it should be OK as long as we don't charge for the privilege to use Google Translate (we won't). However, the API key signup form states: > Your web site must be freely accessible to end users. Ignoring the fact that our product isn't a web site, this comes into contradiction with the full Terms, since the game itself is actually commercial and requires purchasing. So which one is it? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google AJAX APIs" group.
