This is a feature that would greatly assist in searching for items of interest that are found and indexed by Google in different time periods. The standard Google query to google.com accepts time parameters in the form of qdr, for example:
http://www.google.com/search?as_epq=“My Search Term”as_occt=title&as_qdr=d would give results for “My Search Term” for the last 24 hours. http://www.google.com/search?as_epq=“My Search Term”&as_occt=title&as_qdr=w would give results for the same search term for the last 7 days. http://www.google.com/search?as_epq=“My Search Term”&as_occt=title&as_qdr=m would give results going back to a month. http://www.google.com/search?as_epq=“My Search Term”&as_occt=title&as_qdr=y using this one could get results going back to a year and so on. The value of as_qdr, i.e. d, w, m and y signifies day, week, month and year respectively. We have tried to replicate the same using the API http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/web?v=1.0&scoring=d&rsz=large &q=“My Search Term”, by adding the qdr parameter, but that doesn’t seem to make a difference and we still get the latest results upto a maximum of 64 items. How can I obtain results through the API over a specific time period (eg past 7 days)? For example, is it possible to use a parameter such as qdr (or anything else) to specify what time frame I want my results for? If not, can this functionality be developed for the API? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google AJAX APIs" group.
