The answer to your question depends very much on how you are using the image 
search. For instance, if you're using it within the default SearchControl, with 
the standard result html node, or with your own custom node, the answer can and 
will change. My recommendation would be to use Firebug for Firefox or the DOM 
inspector in either Chrome or Safari to inspect the image(s) in question, check 
the selectors on rules which define the height and width (if there are any) and 
then override those rules with your own using the same selectors.
