A: No, the AJAX Search API uses Javascript to retrieve and display results dynamically. More significantly, there is a limit on the number of results you can retrieve via the API. So while you can probably get 1000 results via your CSE, you'll only be able to get 100, I think, via the AJAX Search API linked to your CSE. Q: Does it produce revenue generating ads in the same way? A: The AJAX Search API itself does not include revenue-generating ads. However, if you use the Custom Search Control, you can get ads. Q: I would be interested in does anyone know of any sites that are currently using it in this manner? A: While I have seen a number of sites that are using the Search API as you have described, the worst news that I have for you is that the TOS prohibit the use of the API on sites and pages where searching is the primary function.
