Hello, I am new to progamming with API's and any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am a college student doing my senior project with Flex 3 to create a translation application. I want to be able to translate from English to Simplified Chinese.
The requirements are enter a word, phrase, or an url and the application will do a translation. The application will retrive the translated information through the Google Translate API. Basically, the application will function just like the Google Translator. As for the url, the application would retrieve the translated web page through Google Translator as well. I've been reading the Google Ajax API documentation, but I do not know how to get started. I've been trying to implement the JSON library. I have not been able to get any success and I don't think I am on the right direction especially with the url webpage.
