The easiest (and probably most effective) way to do this would be to set a 
center point in Britain and then use a Google map to calculate an appropriate 
sspn parameter. Doing this, you could weight results in the UK so that they are 
more likely to appear. It probably won't completely eliminate results from 
outside the country, since there is no real way to restrict by radius or 
political boundaries, but it should help.
