I'm not sure if I fully understand the answer. Does Adam mean the ads will not be displayed on the first call (i.e. from an execute()), but if the user enters other queries then ads will be displayed? Whatever I do I'm not getting any ads being displayed!? I'm using the SearchControl. If I use the CustomSearchControl I have ads displayed but no search results, getting "This Custom Search Engine is loading. Try again in a few seconds." instead.
