Well, for the record, you're not the only one who has scratched their head. In a quick search of the internet, I saw a number of results discussing the matter. There was a very at length conversation on the mootools issue tracker as they considered how they might get around the issue in their event handling. The bottom line is that it may be in reverse order right now, but you can't necessarily count on that to be true every time, for every user. Don't you just love MSIE?
