Hi Folks, I am mainly a YouTube API user with a bith of Translate v1 API thrown in, for showing YT videos in a specialized community site. Now I would like to expand it into showing your typical RSS news feeds - list of news story titles with a thumbnail image in most cases and a short lead-in text. For that, I have a couple of questions.
(1) Is there anything within the GOOG world that recembles Superfeedr.com and that can be used by clients or subscribers of various RSS news feeds? (2) Are there any javascript libraries around that do the HTML parsing (like Facebook Link sharing does) for cases where I want to manually post a link to a publisher's story and from it parse out a title, thumbnail if any and a short couple hundred character beginning of a description with a "more" link that takes the reader to the original site. (3) Is old FeddBurner part of what is now known as Feeds API and does it do any of this or is it something that only a publisher would use to push out the stories?
