You can use the rsz parameter in your query to request between 1-8 results
by using, for instance, rsz=8.  4 is the default.

Please consider migrating to the non-deprecated Custom Search API, which
will allow you to get up to 10 results:
http://code.google.com/apis/customsearch/v1/overview.html
