Thanks Jeremy. I've had a good hunt around with the Chrome "inspect" tool - which I understand is very similar to Firebug.
Wow, all that intricate info is mind-boggling. My specific issue is with a block of white space underneath my rss feed in a widget I'm building: http://andy.prolifeplanet.com/sidebar-widget-test/ You'll spot the white space right above "life without borders" at the bottom of the widget.
