The Feed API demo makes use of the "site:" filter to restrict the
result-set to a specified domain. This works as expected for a single
domain. But when additional domains are added, e.g. "site:example.com OR
site:another-example.com OR site:yet-another.com 'search query goes here'",
no results are returned.

The "site:" filter seems to be a feature of Google Web Search, which does
indeed support multiple "site:" domains. Does the Feed API simply not
support the same types of search strings that the fully-featured Web Search
does? Or is there some syntactical nuance to the Feed API?

Thanks for any help.
