Hi. Sorry for the lapse. At present, your options are limited. The current release of the Java SDK does not support configurable deadlines, and I'll have to follow up to see when this will be available. Is Analytics the only Google Data API that you have this issue with? Have you tried making requests from outside of App Engine (e.g. a local Tomcat server) to see if the responses come faster?
