I realize it's 'bad form' to not use getters/setter

and i'm banging out a quick test app to get familiar with GAE and I see that
statement in the docs, it's reasonable to think they are at least
temporarily unnecessary.  Now, I know better!

FWIW the PersistenceAware change  put my datanucleas enhancer into an
infinite loop in eclipse.
