Hi there, I asked a similar question a couple of days ago, but I'll try different wording and see if it generates any interest.
Has anyone successfully simulated MapReduce using task queues? If so, how much parallelism have you achieved in the GAE production environment? Are there tricks to convince GAE to increase parallelism for your app? I know Google has MapReduce on the roadmap, but it sounds like it's behind full text search on the schedule, so it may be a while before we see anything real. We may need to come up with an interim solution. I'm looking at solving a OLAP problem in GAE, and MapReduce seems to be the way to do that given the Datastore architecture. thoughts? -- James --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine for Java" group.
