I believe this is not allowed. Once you change a class you cannot retrieve the older objects anymore. In this case, you added a field to a class, but, what if you had removed two fields!? How is the framework supposed to treat this!?
Try rolling back your class and see if you can retrieve the old objects. I believe you will only be able to get them this way.
