Well... based on the announcement, we were supposed to receive a com.google.apphosting.api.ApiProxy.CapabilityDisabledException exception. For at least the first 10 minutes of the down time, it was not the case.
We are sorting things out, but it looks like we lost a lot of data, as our system supposed to take over during the maintenance was based on getting the documented exception...
