I see comments like this pop up all the time, but we must be a rarity. Anyways, regarding the "pay to reserve JVM" see this issue: http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=2456 I personally don't like this solution as it seems to be paying for minimum functionality.
