Hi,

I am having the same problem.

I have tried to use the gwt-maven plugin plus the maven-gae-plugin
http://code.google.com/p/maven-gae-plugin/ but failed to configure
both together.

The goals deploy, or compile was ok. But like you the dev mode from
gwt + the gae local server did'nt work together.

Thanks,

Raphaël.
