Windows 7 SP1 Eclipse 3.6.2 Java 6 Tried many different things recommended by various posts found here. These can be mostly found by searching the forum "An error occurred while collecting items to be installed". Finally got the install to work correctly by: -Deactivating antivirus (Avira 10) -Disabling IPv6 -Running Eclipse with the right click Run as Administrator I had tried many iterations of the above including deleting Eclipse entirely and starting fresh, and also deleting all the Eclipse repository cache files. The above steps were done together after two failed attempts.
