Thanks for the great reply. I will give your recommendations a try. I do have a filter that I am using to check for a Google user session so I can probably put that code in there as well.
I have a couple of questions: 1. With the 2.1 JSF do you still need to override the JNDI loading? 2. JSTL 1.2 is used by default with the toolkit do you think there is any issue with using JSTL 1.2? 3. Any special settings other than the ones in the tutorial in your web.xml?
