I'm sure this is good information, but I don't know what "Eclipse" is.
I also don't know what PyDev is, nor code completion.

I simply can't get command.exe to run my program, which is an
incredibly simple program to print "helloworld". I did everything the
instructional video said, but when trying to get Command.exe or
CMD.exe to run the program, it looks like the App Engine can't really
find the helloworld file, i get errors.

I don't really care about code completion-- if you mean that when you
type Python commands it changes their color and helps you format the
lines. Pretty sure I could solve that problem by buying a text editor
instead of using the free Notepad in Windows.

Remember, I'm a beginner. I took about 4 years of Pascal in HS in
college in about 1990, that's all I know about programming. Back
then, you wrote code, compiled it to machine language (which I guess
further compiled to assembly language-- ones and zeroes-- or is it the
other way around?), and the program ran if you typed it's program name
into the command line prompt.

I GET that I have to be in the proper disk drive to run programs
within that drive, or directory within that drive.

Some one at Google should create a series of videos for how beginners
can create programs using WINDOWS, not Mac. Perhaps some lessons on
Python and HTML and JavaScript and how they all interact would benefit
Google too. That way, they could train an army of developers that
don't need degrees in programming, helping their own cause given how
many APIs they've created.

I'd LOVE to create some buttons for Google Toolbar, or other simple
programs, but learning how to do that practically requires a computer
science degree. Programming shouldn't be that hard!
