Worked for me, also!! But,.... I'm a bit concerned: this workaround will work while the current version of the control panel is available. When google apps upgrades it, the workaround will stop working.
I tried the google suggestion of forwarding my domain (naked or not) to www.my_domain.com ( http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?answer=91080&hl=en ) but it did not allow my naked domain to work (got a 404 error but I did not wait for hours or days to see if that suggestion would work after some time passes). Just wondering if anyone has gotten naked domains to work using the google suggested way...
