It would indeed be nice to access these commands via a url. I added a

This is a known bug. Not fixed yet unfortunately.

We would rather stay in the google group for now. I hope you do not

We are building applications with LAX on GAE and intend to benefit
from AppEngine's scaling capabilites. Nothing published yet to show
how big it can get, sorry. I understand it makes it harder for you to
make a decision. We are working towards a release.

True. Documentation is sparse at this point. We have someone working
full-time on it now and it should start showing soon.

Please do. We have a team of 10 working with this framework (not
restriced to its AppEngine version) and will be more than happy with
external contributions.
