I do use App Engine and I do develop in Python to use it, that is why
"develop in Python" is not an answer.

For me and many others, Python is not a general replacement language.
It is a language I would use in certain cases. I would however much
rather use specific other languages for specific projects and
therefore am awaiting an official response regarding new languages for
App Engine.

I think it is in Google's own interest to add languages if the goal of
App Engine is to attract a large crowd of developers.
