The <version> refers to the major version number in the app.yaml file.
You only see one subversion number for every major version, the
subversion is incremented on each upload.
Now the link does not have a sub-version but the word latest, to
enable to bookmark it.
http://2.latest.myapp.appspot.com
This makes it possible to try out a new version of the code without
troubeling the current users. Make it the default when you think it's
stable.
