If there was just one thing to add to the Image api, a way to determine the image size would be highest on my list.
It just seems so easy to add... would it not be possible to stuff a couple of integers (height,width) along with the image data into the image service response ProtocolMessage? Maybe it's not so easy, I don't really know.
