Hi, I searched on this group looking for info on how to best build a google app that supports multiple languages. The results are disappointing: there is no recommended way to do this and it seems that many attempts from other developer are not fully functional.
I read these threads: http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine/browse_thread/thread/76d96246c91812a0 no solution http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine/browse_thread/thread/e95549aea53f2dde paritlal solution: still can't switch language dynamically http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine/browse_thread/thread/5c3104f821a8c829 no reply http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine/browse_thread/thread/f2dc37b6cec1a21d no solution ... etc When I started to spend time learning Python and GAE, I assumed google was intenational enough so I do not have to worry about I18N support. It is frustrating for non-english customers to see so little support for i18n on products from companies as important as Google. What is gae's team official statement about support for localized application? Does GAE support it or not ? Are we supposed to develop our own localization solution? - Mel T. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
