Hi, For further clarification on the Gmail namespace issue - It *used* to be the case that you could not register your own Gmail name as an app id. We have changed this so that you can reserve a Gmail name as an app id only when signed in with that Gmail name.
However, once you have reserved an app id, it will no longer be available in App Engine or as a Gmail name.
