ok I think the problem lies with the CNAME records on my registrar.  I
have created an alias for www so www.scdconsulting.uk.net refers to
ghs.google.com whilst the naked url has no CNAME associated with it
which I think perhaps is the problem.  How do I get the naked url
pointing to ghs.google.com, do I have to modify an A record?
