I got tired of that and went back to command line. After i run it
once, then it is "up arrow followed by Enter" to start the upload,
another "up arrow + Enter" to auto-fill the email field. And then I
type in the password. It is much faster than the launcher.

>From your command prompt move to "\program files\google
\google_appengine" on pre-Win7 or "\program files (x86)\google
\google_appengine" on Win7. Then issue the command

appcfg.py update [your app folder]
