Can you email me the IP address he's connecting from? More than likely it's
one of the following:

- An ISP or proxy issue
- Possible malware on his computer (check proxy settings again)
- Software "firewall"
- Possible DNS error - can he try using Google DNS? (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4)

In general, a 404 should not be returned from any of our servers. Try this

Open up a command prompt (this command will work on Windows/Mac/Linux) and
type:

nslookup YOURAPPID.appspot.com

What does it say?
