>From time to time I understand from my users, that they experience 500-
errors on my site hosted on App Engine. Usually these experiences
coincide with the extended latency as indicated in the System Status
board. Usually I explain that these issues are temporary, however I
cannot keep explaining it that when it happens almost daily.

For instance, today, May 10th there was a spike in latency on the
Python runtime for as much as 5 seconds on average (according to
http://code.google.com/status/appengine/detail/serving/2010/05/10#ae-trust-detail-helloworld-get-latency).

The note attached to this says that "Investigation Complete - Issue
Resolved
We have determined that this spike did not affect the performance or
uptime of applications. If you feel we have incorrectly diagnosed this
issue please inform us by posting in our developer forum."

I am here writing to say that it did. I have rows and rows of
errorlogs between 05-10 05:42AM and 05-10 05:58AM that indicate there
was a huge amount of requests dropped on my app (appid=macbay-base).

Please look into the indicators that caused you to believe that the
spike "did not affect the performance or uptime of applications".

Thank you.
