The app engine dashboard shows a big spike in latency and error rate (to 100%) for serving for yesterday at 6:12 AM. The explanation says "Investigation Complete - Issue Resolved We have determined that this spike did not affect the performance or uptime of applications. If you feel we have incorrectly diagnosed this issue please inform us by posting in our developer forum."
At that time our application was serving 500s for approximately 5 minutes. Also chrome extensions was down (somebody even tweeted about it here: http://twitter.com/benw/statuses/13786551926). This makes me wonder how much appengine is actually investigating whether app performance/uptime is affected. Why does the message says no performance or uptime was affected? Also, it seems that exactly the same thing happened the day before (6:06 AM). Is something being done to prevent these temporary outages from happening in the future?
