GAE itself is parallel. Read up on tasks and task queues. GAE uses a
completely different "threading model" that what you're thinking of, it's a
job queuing/batch job type system. All large/long running tasks must be
broken down into smaller tasks that will execute with about 30 seconds of
CPU time.
