>From reading this list, there appear to have been quite few incidents lately where multiple sites start reporting errors, with the status page showing very high spikes in datastore latency. Eventually this seems to resolve itself, and then a note is added to the status page saying something along the lines of "there was high datastore latency, this is resolved, there was no affect on hosting", even though that's obviously not been the case. And often no-one from Google seems to respond to the multiple threads that popped up when the issue occured.
As someone who is considering creating a site using the app engine, this is rather a worrying trend, and I was wondering if someone from Google could give an explanation for all these recent issues, along with what's being done to try and prevent them in the future?
