Thanks very much. So it seems a problem in my configuration, since I only have Google Apps in my authentcation options (both in Application Settings -> Authentication options, and from "create an application" in appengine.google.com), no choice for OpenID. Maybe I need to create a new application from scratch, or to use my regular gmail account instead of my google apps account.
