I know it sounds stupid but I would love to know what is defined as an app? I'm running a social networking website and its getting to much traffic for my Dedicated server. My site is PHP on a mysql database. Im finding it hard to scale my website especially if I get some good TV coverage or get "the digg effect" My server just crashes.
Can I use google app engine to host on? is my website an App??? What is an app? is it just the new word for an interactive website?
