There should be a better place for me to post this as it is a comment on the recent downtime notification, which is actually a different google group.
(1) The recent downtime announcement said: > We want to stress that these unapplied > writes do not impact the transactional consistency of application data > and resulted in corruption. I'm hoping they meant "and did *not* result in corruption". (2) Question: if there are unapplied writes, what was my application's experience when the unapplied write happened? Did it get a failure during the write? I hope so, because at least then it could respond. It would be worse if the write seemed to go through and then just got sent into the unapplied writes bucket.
