Yeah, I thought about that, took a quick look at the source some days ago, and though: "meh, I bet those google guys could just tweak this in 1/10 the time it would take me" :-) I'll see what I can do. BTW: how's work going on the reduce step? Do you think it might be finished in less than a year? I realized today that one one the planned batch jobs needs a reduce step, so its not possible with the current mapreduce. (so, no mapreduce mailing list, do you confirm that?)
