There is a copy of your data but that is a (near) identical copy. At
most a few minutes old.
This is only used by Google in the data centers to switch.

There is NO incremental backup of your data at the GAE data centers.

You can use the bulkload tool to download the data in the datastore
and keep an incremental back yourself.
