Dear Aunt App Engine, I was at a customer site, fortunately a very friendly customer who I've been able save much money by using our wonderful app engine app. He was showing me a minor problem with his data so he clicked on the change button and pow, google timeout error. Big black text on white screen. Try again, pow, same result. Went to talking about something else, tried again, it worked.
This is embarrassing, a bit like body odour. I'm telling all my friends at the mall what great cutting edge technology we're using for our site, and most of the time it is really great, but several times a day it just times out or can't spin up new instances. Maybe app engine is seeing someone else behind my back? Please help. Sincerely, Timed out in Topeka*. * not actually in Topeka.
