I agree. Rumors indicate that there are a couple in the Netherlands and Belgium (Google appears to like water ;-), but there is hardly any information about which ones are used for what.
I'm surprised by the statement of Ikai Lan (Google) about it and would like more clarification on it. Does it mean that a) (GAE) data might be stored in North America b) (GAE) data is stored in North America as well (but actually it is stored in all/most datacenter across the world) c) (GAE) data is stored only in North America ?
